Wells County Lock-Up is a locally owned self-storage facility located in Bluffton, IN. We have served the Wells, Adams, Allen, and Huntington county area for over 16 years.
We began construction on our first building in 2000. Throughout the next decade, we expanded at an average of about 1 new building per year. In 2009, we built a new office, added an on-site residence, and completed the development of our original location, with 8 buildings and over 400 units. In 2014, we opened a second location, which currently has 5 buildings, with room for 1 more. In total, we manage more than 600 storage units across 13 buildings.
All building projects have been completed by Miller Construction, Berne, IN.
The brick used to front our buildings were re-purposed from the old Red Cross Manufacturing Company building and a number of one-room school houses from the Northeast, Indiana area. The base material of the stone drive at our second location is composed of recycled asphalt from the implement dealership which was torn down to make room for the new facility.
